ALEXANDRE MAREUIL X CAULAINCOURT : new collab !

We are very proud to present the result of our new collaboration: Alexandre Mareuil X Caulaincourt

It is the story of a meeting between Sophie-Charlotte Van Robais of ALEXANDRE MAREUIL and Alexis Lafont of CAULAINCOURT, two personalities of leather craftsmanship and Made in France who team up to create a strong object over time of a collaboration. They come together around common values: love of craftsmanship, quality of materials, high standards, and French elegance.

Alexis Lafont relied on Alexandre Mareuil’s iconic bag to create two new versions twisted by Caulaincourt: Le Pionnier and L’Orient-Express.
These models will be made to order and will benefit from several customization choices. These creations are aimed at neo dandies, whether urban, nomadic, or earthy.

They both have this unique chemistry, the result of the marriage of homemade DNA, which makes them so unique.

“ORIENT-EXPRESS”

This model incorporates the design codes of the beat bag, while being reinterpreted as chic and stylish cabin travel luggage. It is available in hand-patinated leather or vegetable tanned. The tannins used come from plants (sap, leaf, bark). They are mainly barks of mimosa, quebracho or chestnut. The concept of sustainable development is at the heart of the philosophy of vegetable tanning. It is recommended for the health of the manufacturer, of the user but also for the protection of the environment as a sustainable material.

In order to recall the world of refined hunting, the “Orient-Express” displays a borrowed deer on the tab of the closure and its flap can be personalized with a hunting trophy motif marked hot, to choose from deer, woodcock or kudu. The lining comes with a velvet band or cashmere print specially created for the collaboration. A good dose of poetry, a touch of vintage, a pinch of romanticism: this recipe for this explosive cocktail will delight lovers of the beautiful.

“THE PIONEER”

Caulaincourt brings the iconic bag of the Maison Alexandre Mareuil to life in a new light, several decades after its creation. An iconic model dedicated to hunting: technical, ergonomic and charismatic … But which easily turns from its initial function to become the ideal travel companion. The canvas used is made in Flers, in the Orne. It is 100% cotton with an anti-water repellent treatment to ensure its good resistance to rainproof. Leather can be patinated by hand on request. Just like “L’Orient-Express”, “Le Pionnier” displays a borrowed deer on the tab of the closure and its flap can be personalized with a hunting trophy motif marked hot, with a choice of deer or woodcock or kudu.
