Albert slippers: an iconic style to elevate your indoor outfit, but not just that…
The Albert slippers are initially elegant and comfortable indoor shoes, originating from the United Kingdom. Their creation is directly linked to the history of men’s fashion and the British royal family, specifically to Prince Albert (1819-1861), husband of Queen Victoria.
Refined and conscious of his appearance, he is said to have requested the creation of a more casual yet still elegant shoe, suitable for his moments of relaxation at home or during informal receptions.
After Prince Albert adopted these shoes, they became popular among the British aristocracy and were widely adopted. Over time, they were worn at more informal occasions, such as private receptions, while still remaining a symbol of sophistication. Albert slippers continue to be a choice of chic and refined footwear, appreciated for their comfort and discreet elegance. Now considered a timeless symbol, they are even worn outdoors by the more adventurous, as their leather sole is akin to that of a traditional shoe.
Albert slipper type moccasin
This shoe, although wearable outdoors, is primarily an indoor shoe. It differs from the previous version by a blue satin lining (Blue Edition) and by even more advanced finishes.
It is welted on the Ocean’s 12 last, made from black velvet enhanced with “Caulaincourt Peacock” embroidery.
The lining is in quilted satin for optimal comfort, and the sole is in blake-stitched leather.
Tip: you can “divert” it by wearing it with a tuxedo for an explosive look.
