Kyoya x Caulaincourt Haiku Jacket
Kyoya x Caulaincourt Haiku Field Jacket
The fruit of the Kyoya x Caulaincourt collaboration, the “Haïku” jacket, unstructured and unlined, offers exceptional comfort and is windproof.
Kyoya is an institution in Japan, to be one of the oldest expert house in traditional dyeing.
The jacket is completely handmade in Japan.
It is possible to associate it with everything:
this jacket has been designed to match very different styles. It’s sophisticated enough to be worn in a chic and stylish fashion, but it’s also “simple” to accommodate a much more street look. It is a functional piece, sober but unique in its fabric and design. The “Haïku” jacket is thus a garment halfway between the field and the work jacket.
Only one color is available, only one version accessorizable with the belt (which comes with).
It has two lower side pockets with gussets and flaps, a chest pocket with gusset and flaps, and a red inside pocket.
It has a back slit and wooden buttons.
It is made of SASHIKO cotton. “Jacket Sashiko” meaning “small stabs” or “small piercings”. This is a folk textile method traditionally featuring white dots on an indigo background.
Sashiko began in northern Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868) and infiltrated south along traditional trade routes. Heavy cotton thread overlock stitch creates striking geometric patterns on the fabric.
It weighs 400 grams.
