Kyoya x Caulaincourt KIMONO Jacket
Given the incredible success of its eldest, the HAIKU jacket produced in collaboration with the Japanese house KYOYA, we have decided to offer you a more “Japanese” version: the KIMONO.
The jacket is unisex.
Kyoya is an institution in Japan, for being one of the oldest expert houses in traditional dyeing.
The jacket is entirely handmade in Japan.
The Kimono version is totally fluid, and has to be worn in a cool way: it will be a considerable asset to add a touch of bohemian chic to any outfit.
It is a functional piece, sober but singular because of its fabric and its design. The “Kimono” jacket is thus an extraordinarily ergonomic garment (thanks to its very large exterior and interior pockets) and comfortable.
Only one color is available, the iconic Kyoya blue.
It has two lower hidden side pockets with gussets and flaps, two huge inside pockets, as well as a red inside pocket.
It has a discreet closing system allowing the jacket to be tied.
It is made of SASHIKO cotton. “Jacket Sashiko” meaning “little stabs” or “little piercings”. This is a folk textile method traditionally featuring white dots on an indigo background.
Sashiko began in northern Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868) and seeped south along traditional trade routes. The overlock stitch of thick cotton yarn creates striking geometric patterns on the fabric.
It weighs 300 grams.
Three sizes are available:
S/M/L
It is fairly generous in size, Japanese style, that is to say without structure, especially at the shoulders.
An S will be perfect for a woman or a man who wears XS to S included.
An M will be perfect for a woman who wants an oversized look or a man who wears M to L included.
An L will be perfect for a man who wears L to XXL included.
