Kyoya x Caulaincourt Haiku sneakers

Fruit of the Kyoya x Caulaincourt collaboration, the “Haiku” sneaker is a running type model.

Kyoya is an institution in Japan, to be one of the oldest expert house in traditional dyeing.

The “Haiku” model is made from two materials – one of the signatures of Caulaincourt styling – in indigo cotton just like the associated jacket, as well as in patinated leather. “Aizome” indigo dye is a dyeing technique using the blue pigment called “indigo”. This is a traditional blue fabric, used in Japan since ancient times. One of its main characteristics is its evolutionary aspect over years of use. It takes on a patina over time, like our leathers.

The leather is worked with a first choice vegetable tanning, made in Italy. The caramel patina is hand made pair by pair. The Haiku sneakers have an ultra-light Xight rubber sole. The shoe is fully lined in natural calfskin, just like the insole and the sockliner.

They are manufactured by hand in Spain.
