How to choose your boots ?
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR CAULAINCOURT BOOTS?
You do not have the possibility to come to try, touch and see in store but wish to order?
In order to make your choice easier, we have created this page which is intended to help you if you wish to order our boots online.
Before you begin, we strongly encourage you to check out the page “Size Guide”.
This is an automatic shoe size converter that greatly reduces the risk of error when choosing a shoe size.
A shoe is a fit, and an aesthetic bias.
The two aspects are strongly influenced by the choice of the “last” (shoe shape) used for a particular shoe.
We therefore offer you a guide of the Caulaincourt’s lasts which will allow you to understand more clearly:
NB // On the website you can filter our models by last (filter located on the left of your screen).
OUR LASTS :
VICENCE Last
– Fit: a very “easy fitting” last at Caulaincourt. It is very tolerant and it is very rare not to be able to step it in correctly, whatever the physiognomy of your foot.
– Aesthetics: thin round type shape relatively slender. It makes a “thin” foot visually
– Size tip: a 7 fits a real EUR 42 (or an US 9).
1827 Last
– Fit: one of the most “fitting” lasts at Caulaincourt. It is very tolerant and it is very rare not to be able to step it in correctly, whatever the physiognomy of your foot. Recommended for people with thin feet because it tolerates it very easily.
– Aesthetics: thin shape known as “chiseled” relatively slender, without being long. It makes a “thin” foot visually
– Size tip: an 8 fits a real EUR 42 (or an US 9).
BONAPARTE Last
– Fit: one of the most “fitting” lasts at Caulaincourt. It is very tolerant and it is very rare not to be able to step it in correctly, whatever the physiognomy of your foot.
– Aesthetics: a classic and modern shape at the same time, sober without being boring because round in the spirit, but very balanced. A very rare last on the market.
– Size tip: choose a 7.5 to get a real EUR 42 (or an US 9).
RIVA Last
– Fit: less suitable for people with particularly thin and long feet at the same time. On the other hand, it is very tolerant on width (especially for people with thin to wide feet).
– Aesthetics: the most elegant shape at Caulaincourt. It is reminiscent of the hull of a Riva boat with its sharp edges and the fluidity of its so-called “chiseled” tip. It is visually shorter than the 1827 for an equivalent size.
– Size tip: choose a 7.5 to get a real 42 (or an US 9).
ARMAND Last
– Fit: An ideal shape for medium to strong feet (in width and height – kick), because relatively wide. Please note that it is not recommended for people with very thin and long feet, because it is relatively short (compared to its width).
– Aesthetics: the roundest and most “vintage” shape at Caulaincourt. It is ultra sculptural and pinched which makes it visually light while clearly assuming its “very round” and “old-school” side.
– Size tip: a 41.5 fits a real 42 (or an US 9).
EMPIRE Last
– Fit: one of the most “fitting” shapes at Caulaincourt. It is very tolerant and it is very rare not to be able to wear it correctly, whatever the physiognomy of your foot.
– Aesthetics: a conventional and elegant shape, fine without being too much, round without exaggeration.
– Size tip: choose a 7.5 to get a real 42 (or an US 9).
DIPLOMAT Last
– Footwear: A relatively fine footwear, not recommended for people with very strong feet.
– Aesthetics: A muffled shape that allows you to have roundness and a strong visual personality at the same time.
– Size tip: choose a 7.5 to get a real 42 (or an US 9).
All of our lasts are called “rotating”, that is to say they are designed to perfectly match the inward movement that the foot draws with its “bean” shape.
